CONTERP'S SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIONS

Environmental Education Program in Schools
In celebration of World Environment Day in June 2023, the Program began, being conducted in three schools in Conterp communities. Throughout the month, the program presented events with a ludic-educational approach, aimed at awakening children's interest in environmental awareness, highlighting recycling and the benefits of proper treatment of urban waste.
OBJECTIVE: The Program sought to make children aware of environmental preservation and recycling, promoting sustainable practices in their daily lives. In addition, it aimed to raise the students' self-esteem and promote socio-environmental development in the communities linked to Conterp.
LOCAL: Municipalities of Catu, Maruim and Carmópolis
BENEFITS: Students from participating schools: Darci Barbosa Municipal School (Carmópolis), Gilberto Alves de Araujo School (Catu) and Maria Fidelis Costa School (Maruim)




ACTIVITIES: The event included classes with environmental engineers from Conterp, exhibition of cartoons about recycling, distribution of painting kits and thematic notebooks. There was an exhibition of the drawings made by the students, donation of selective collection containers to the school, guidance on their use and closure with distribution of sweets.
Workshop Harassment in the Workplace and its Consequences
The event emphasized the role and impact of harassment in the 3 areas involved: victims, harassers and companies, which indirectly become indirectly involved in the context. During the event, Conterp announced the implementation of its Ombudsman. This communication channel will allow its employees to send complaints and suggestions to the company, through a confidential contact. The Ombudsman seeks to strengthen Conterp's internal communication, integrity and transparency.




GOAL: Make our team aware of the types of harassment that exist, how to identify them, ways to report them and the consequences for both those who practice and those who make false statements.

Merry Christmas Conterp
Christmas action to donate more than 200 boxes of chocolates to underprivileged children who live close to Conterp's bases of action, in addition to the Pastor Gabriel Creche in Esplanada - BA. To keep the Christmas magic going, our Santa Claus arrived to distribute the chocolates and bring joy and enchantment to the children.
GOAL: This initiative sought to provide a moment of joy and magic, taking into account the expectations that Christmas brings to children. In addition, Natal Feliz sought to strengthen Conterp's ties with the communities in which it operates and reinforce the company's commitment to contributing to the social development of the community.

Cooperative Partnership of Coral Collectors and Recyclers
A parceria entre Conterp e CORAL busca impulsionar o desenvolvimento sócio-ambiental e expandir as ações de reciclagem em Alagoinhas. A equipe de Meio Ambiente da Conterp também realizou um churrasco de confraternização durante o Natal para os membros da cooperativa CORAL.
A Coral foi fundada em 2006, e durante seus 16 anos de existência, atua no processo de coleta, segregação e comercialização de resíduos recicláveis. Além disso, a cooperativa tem papel fundamental na melhora da qualidade de vida das pessoas que trabalham nos lixões, reinserindo essas pessoas na sociedade.

LOCAL: Cidade de Alagoinhas
OBJETIVO: A parceria entre a Conterp e a CORAL (Cooperativa de Catadores e Recicladores de Alagoinhas) fortaleceu os laços de solidariedade e apoio mútuo em prol da sustentabilidade e do desenvolvimento social. Através da parceria com a CORAL, a empresa busca não apenas contribuir para a melhoria das condições de trabalho e o fortalecimento da cooperativa, mas também incentivar a conscientização ambiental e promover a inclusão social.
